I have 2 '74 Mercury 40 hp motors. One is a brief shaft, draw and electric start, tiller handle. The other is a parts motor, long shaft. The long shaft is missing out on the foot and electric starter, and one plug wire, but appears to have excellent compression. The brief shaft has 150 pound compression on both cylinders, is complete and has actually never ever seen salt water, however requires a stator. 400$ obo for both call/text.show contact info.
