I purchased this Honda 5hp boat motor new about 15 years but ended up using it only twice since I got a pontoon boat which I used instead. The motor has less than 3 hours usage and has been stored covered in my garage since then. I just took it to Johnson Marine in Montello. They changed the oil and plug, lubed it, and tested the gas tank and engine and it started and ran perfectly. The gas tank is a 3 gallon Honda tank. Why spend more than $1800 for a new Honda 5hp motor when you can have this one for less than half price: only $795 for the motor, gas tank and stand. It comes with the original tool kit and instructions as well. It is located at Lawrence Lake near Westfield, WI.
