Remaining with the same family all her life, SILVIO is a remarkable, time-stood-still study in mid-century authenticity. While enjoying the significant structural refit detailed below in, SILVIO has been stored and maintained ashore since she last sailed in 2017 and is in need of a refit to get afloat in a true classic at a reasonable cost. These are historic. SILVIO has been stored ashore since 2017 " SILVIO is a true classic, thoroughbred yacht. Commissioned from the renowned Robert Clark as a racing and cruising yacht, she shares many similarities to her sister CORABIA (built 1957). SILVIO has remained in the same family’s ownership since her construction in 1957/58, and was named after their Derby winning racehorse. She remains almost completely original (though up to date with regard to electronics etc) and has been regularly maintained. Great care has been taken to ensure any replacement gear and fittings are in her original contemporary colours and style. " SILVIO has competed in many races in British and European waters, including the 1961 Fasnet Race, as well as numerous cruises. The yacht is extremely well balanced, light and responsive at the helm; built for speed but extremely stable in a following or quartering sea. Designed for a racing crew of six, she has been handled by an extremely experienced sailor single-handedly.
