Hillyard 5 Ton classic built in 1938 and first launched 1940. Traditionally built carvel construction with mahogany on oak frames. Four berths in single cabin inc heads charttable and galley. A lovely example of a classic Hillard sloop not to be missed. Lying Cardiff Inventory 1” Mahogany carvel planking, copper riveted on grown oak frames with elm stem, deadwoods and rudder. Cast iron full keel and iron internal ballast (all keel and scarf bolts regularly checked and replaced where necessary)Custom built metal alloy beaching legs with fitted screw mounts within hull. Solid construction mast, keel mounted with substantial stainless steel rigging. Mainsail with boom roller reefing. Staysail, Working Gib (F4 +) Lightwind Genoa (F0-3) Cruising Chute Many sheets, warps and spare lines. CQR and Fisherman’s Anchors with approx 30 m chain. Numerous older, still serviceable sails.
