1955 Alan Buchanan designed 24ft Motor Sailer, Larch on Oak with large aft birdpit, Volvo Penta 28hp diesel (recently overhauled), 2 berths with galley and heads - a most attractive boat! MECHANICAL Volvo Penta 2003 3 cylinder 28hp inboard diesel engine (1990 but recently overhauled and installed). 10 hours running since overhaul. Shaft drive to fixed propeller. Modern plastic fuel tank. ELECTRICAL 12v battery with recent wiring, isolator switch, connection to new solar panel charging. LED lights. NAVIGATION Compass, Simrad windspeed on mast, VHF radio, windvane at masthead, traditional navigation lights with LED bulbs. SAFETY Rope cutter on propeller, 2 auto electric bilge pumps with float switches. DECK GEAR Pulpit, wheel shelter, tiller, birdpit cushions in grey (newly fitted), anchor with 20m chain, mooring warps and fenders. SAILS Loose footed white mainsail. Hank on jib. Varnished wooden mast. DOMESTIC Heating is via a hot water radiator from engine with fan. Gas hob. water tank with hot water via engine calorifier or 240v immersion heater. Marine toilet. Grey internal upholstery newly fitted. ACCOMMODATION 2 berths. OWNERS COMMENTS FEATURES Recent 12 month refit including caulking and painting Recently re-varnished Engine full overhaul with many new parts including pistons Electrics also overhauled with new cables, mast re-wired, new electric switch panel & solar panel. Note - 4 wheel road yard trailer may be available (unbraked) REMARKS " Skye" was purchased by her present owner in 2020. She has been ashore for the previous 2 years and required a great deal of caulking, painting and varnishing. Her owner works in the marine industry so was able to fully overhaul the 28hp Volvo diesel and re-wire the boat. She now sits afloat in Tollesbury Marina and takes only a small amount of water to her bilge (no birdpit cover so rain water mostly).
