UFO 34 yachts competed both in the disastrous 1979 Fastnet and 1998 Sydney to Hobart yacht races, where lives and yachts were lost in the extreme conditions. UFO 34s performed effectively in both races, winning class IV in the Fastnet race and retiring without incident in the Sydney to Hobart. Elidir was a home completion boat and took part in the 1993,97 and 1999 Fastnet race. Boat Specification Accommodation: - V berth in the forward cabin with plenty of storage. Moving aft and to Port is the heads with storage opposite. The main saloon consists of single berths to port and starboard with the chart table to Port with Galley opposite. 2 Quarter berths to port and starboard aft of the galley and chart table. The berths behind the settees were converted to lockers, but all the work was designed so it could be restored to original if required. The cushions for those berths are available.
