On deck, she is equipped with a NASA Clipper navigation system, a Garmin GPS Map 276C chart plotter, an Icom IC-M421 DSC VHF and a Raymarine ST2000+ tiller pilot. Accommodation includes a double cabin forward, a heads compartment, a saloon, a galley and a quarter berth. She also benefits from a selection of sails, a teak veneered interior, a fold away chart table unit and a Seago inflatable dinghy. Lying afloat, in commission and ready to sail, she is available to view by appointment. English Designed by Pelle Petersen and launched in 1977 the Maxi 84 proved to be a run away success, firmly establishing the reputation of the designer and the Maxi Yachts brand. Over the production run more than 1300 hulls were launched, selling throughout the world. Rating under the half tonner rules the Maxi 84 proved to be equally suited to comfortable family cruising as bashing round the cans in regattas. The Maxi 84 SAORSA benefits from being extensively re-fitted betweenwith works including stripping and re-varnishing the interior, replacement upholstery and overhauling of the engine.
