This is a ferro-cement boat which was made popular in the 1960's as an alternative to existing building methods. Many were amateur built which damaged the reputation of this building method. When built by a competent builder, they can be a strong and reliable sailboat. They will never be a race winner but they were not meant to be. Unless, of course, you are racing other c-mists. Perkins M 35 was installed new in 1995 and has been professionally maintained ever since.
