Batteries are easily accessible for service contained in a strong, well secured, ventilated battery box and are controlled by three marine battery switches and BLUE SEAS circuit breakers. Main circuits lead to an enclosed panel with a main breaker and individual breakers for branch circuits. 100-amp alternator with 2 spares. There is a Link 2000R battery monitoring system with digital readout of volts, amps, and amp hours pre-owned for 2 battery banks. 120 v power is brought aboard with two 30-amp shore power cords into a watertight box holding the receptacles. Galvanic isolation is installed in the entrance wiring and wiring leads to a watertight box that keeps all 120 v wiring separate from 12 v. The box contains 2 double pole double throw main breakers, branch breakers, and a generator transfer switch. The cabin top is epoxy laminated with three layers of marine plywood. Beams are also fastened and bonded to bulkheads wherever possible. Both beams and plywood are sealed below in epoxy. Polypropylene cloth laid with epoxy covers the plywood decking, faired with epoxy, and spray painted with IMRON HULL TO DECK JOINT The finest production hull to deck join is flimsy in comparison to the hull to deck join on SPRING FEVER. Six 1" x 6" scarfed white oak planks are laminated on next to the inner skin and fiberglassed in place with several layers. This creates a 4.5" x 5.5" thick deck shelf which receives the inset laminated oak and mahogany beams which provide compressive strength. The deck shelf is fastened and bonded to the beams directly and by the sub-deck. The entire deck extends over the shelf. The 1.5" deck covering boards are bedded and fastened over the fiberglass deck and through to the deck beams and deck shelf with 3/8 hot galvanized bolts. A 1 1/2" x 4" mahogany rub rail is fastened along the entire length of the hull and laminated around the stern. CHAINPLATES Chainplates are fabricated of 1/2" type 316 stainless steel plate formed around and bolted through the deck shelf and hull. They continue to extend down the outside of the hull about 2 ft with eight 316 stainless steel bolts secured inside over aluminum backing plates. All standing rigging as well as both masts are bonded to grounding plates. There is no leaking or hidden corrosion as with chainplates passing through decks. HARDWARE Type 316 stainless steel is specified for all deck fittings and hardware whenever it is available. Many fittings are custom fabricated of this material including the stemhead and anchor roller, the deck light frames, port light rings, 32" stanchions, 316 stainless steel solid top handrail, drain covers, etc. All stock hardware is generally the finest quality available. Cowl vents are 4" brass and set in chromed bronze deck plates mounted on Dorade boxes. Winches are BARIENT and LEWMAR self tailing two. There are LEWMAR rope clutches and traveler hardware and blocks, CHERUBINI bronze and aluminum opening ports. THE RIG Painted aluminum spars are highly engineered with internal halyards, integral mainsail track, separate storm sail track, integral spinnaker pole ring, integral wiring channels, external reefing (three reefs for main, 2 for mizzen). The ketch rig is spread out with a wide base making a relatively lightly loaded rig. Both masts are well supported with single spreaders. The mizzen has swept back spreaders with forward and aft lowers. All rigging wire is highly corrosion resistant grade 316 stainless steel, terminals are STAYLOCK reusable fittings top and bottom, chrome plated bronze turnbuckles and toggles are MERRIMAN All halyards, sheets, and reefing lines lead to the cockpit to self-tailing winches or rope clutches. There are topping lifts, spare halyards, and a spinnaker halyard rigged. They are made of low stretch color-coded braid. Roller jib and furling is top of the line PRO-FURL. Aluminum Masts with internal halyards All standing rigging is grade 316 SS with Stalock Terminals on each end Forespar telescopic reaching pole Profurl furler for Jib Sail Lazyjacks on Main and Mizzen Masts Steps to the top of Both Masts All sails in attractive shape Storm Jib and Storm Trysail Storm Trysail Track on Mainmast Removable boom for staysail. All Halyards and Sheets Lead to Cockpit Winches Galley Galley stove is FORCE TEN propane three burner with oven. Installation is according to A.B.Y.C. standards with thermal shut-offs and remote solenoid tank shut-off. A special airtight box with direct venting overboard was fabricated for the tanks. Stock plastic tank containers were found to contain rivets with hollow centers and therefore not entirely air tight. This box is contained in the cockpit, which is completely isolated from the rest of the boat. Force 10 three Burner Propane Stove with oven 2 10 pound.
