Description:
Complete MerCruiser 224 ci 4-cylinder motor for parts (i.e., carburetor, stator, starter, heat exchanger, head, manifolds, flywheel, bell housing, etc), freshwater cooled. Clymer Shop Manual says 470 motor is synonymous with the 485, 488 and was later redesigned as the 170MR and 190MR. Block has a hole in the port side from a rod, right above the middle of the heat exchanger. Cast iron water tank has cracks. Intake and exhaust manifolds are aluminum and look to be in good shape.
