I love building these canoes but now I have to sell them! Retired watchmaker with a passion for wood working,now building these beautiful cedar strip canoes. The first one, a prototype is priced to sell because it has some aesthetic defects. (I have another ad for the second canoe, please check it out!) Structurally sound, this construction follows the strip building techniques of today. Hull: spanish cedar and pine (for accents) Gunwales: ash Yoke: royal cedar Decks: spanish cedar The canoe is then covered, inside and out, with fiber glass and epoxy resin according to current standards.
