Really lovely Laurent Giles Peter Duck 28, built in 1965, lots of recent work including 3 new keel bolts, masts recently lowered, very nice interior with good upholstery (most stored in the dry) - keen seller, great value! MECHANICAL Mercedes OM636 approx 42 HP inboard diesel engine (not tested) with shaft drive to fixed propeller. New alternator being fitted. Shaft drive to fixed 3 blade propeller. ELECTRICAL Alternator charging to 2 x 12 volt batteries. NAVIGATION Grid compass, log, Icom ICM-411 DSV VHF radio, Autohelm ST4000 autopilot, Target Navtex Pro, MLR FX312 GPS, clock and barometer, chart light, navigation lights. SAFETY Manual bilge pump. DECK GEAR Galvanised pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, spinnaker pole, 2 bottom action sheet winches, halyard winch on main mast, outboard bracket on pushpit, Plough main anchor with chain, 3 winch handles, mooring warps and fenders. SAILS Mainsail. Genoa roller reefing system by Sailspar with Furling No 1 Genoa. Various Jibs and a spinnaker. We understand that the majority of the sails were new in 1989. She has wooden mast and booms, her main mast is mounted in a galvanised tabernacle and she has a separate second forestay. Galvanised standing rigging new around 2019. Main mast lowers and varnished 2022, mizzen mast lowered and varnished 2023. DOMESTIC Oil lamp. Central saloon table. Her galley has a gas cooker with 2 burners and grill, sink with water supply, separate heads compartment with marine toilet. Washbasin with freshwater supply. Red upholstery. Carpets. ACCOMMODATION: There are 2 single “V” berths in the forepeak and 2 single settee berths either side of the saloon table. OWNERS COMMENTS The original “Peter Duck” was built for Swallows and Amazon’s Arthur Ransome by Harry King at Pin Mill in 1946. As a class more than 45 have followed. " Yarina" was purchased by her current owner in 2006 and has been based at West Mersea in Esinteraction. 3 keel bolts have been renewed in. Still available at ListedBuy!
