English A very upgraded Hallberg Rassy 35 Rasmus. Most things have been replaced in the last few years for a distance sailing adventure. Due to commitments the yacht has stayed in UK waters so all the additions are only lightly used. Some interesting modifications such as a custom made rear stainless mainsheet arch keeping the birdpit clear while allowing a generous birdpit canopy with removable panels. The deck is finished in epoxy Kiwi grip over the original moulded GRP grip deck and was never teaked so no holes in the deck. One inch thick with polyvinyl foam used throughout for strength and insulation. Built-in longitudinal stringers Hull and deck completely joined by overlapping fibreglass laminate and a bulwark is formed of the deck and hull mouldings and is topped by a cap rail of solid teak. Hand rails, cap rails, birdpit comings, companionway hatch guides, cabin sole and seats in birdpit are all made of solid selected Burma teak. The deck has a kiwi grip coating, easily cleaned non-skid surface. 4 scuppers in bulwarks drain off deck water The self draining birdpit has 2 × one and a half inch scuppers. Keel & Rudder: Keel ballast is iron, moulded and completely protected by fibreglass. Rudder has a stock of 1 1/2 inch bronze to which is bonded a blade shaped in fibreglass.
