Slipstream of Cowley is a Sparkman & Stephens S&S 34 from 1969, the second one out of the mould after Sir Edward Heath's Sydney-Hobart winning Morning Cloud. She has been in her current ownership since 2004, cruised initially and then stored ashore for 10 years. 2 years ago her owners embarked on a refurbishment including interior refit, new batteries, rewired electrical control panel, LED lighting and running rigging. Her very accessible and easy to service Yanmar 3YM30 with SD20 saildrive ( both from 2008 ) has had just 150 hours use ( the saildrive inner seal was professionally replaced in October 2023 ). Standing rigging from 2007, which will need renewing, purely due to the passage of time. With their two tonne lead keels, S&S 34 s are renowned for their upwind performance and seakeeping.
