FOR RACING, OR JUST FUN ON THE LAKE. I initially raced this watercraft in GT Pro course in 2010 with a 30hp Johnson motor. Was capable of 49 mph in testing, but in racing trim most likely better to 47 miles per hour. It was about 50 pounds. too heavy for me, so while capable of competitive speed, it was too slow to accelerate. Later on I updated to a 40 hp Nissan for Sport C course. Ran about 55-56 miles per hour, however once more was too heavy-- and not quite well balanced right for the enhanced speed and motor weight. In a Sport C race in 2011, while going through a turn, the corner of the watercraft dove into a wave and over she went. That was the last time I raced this boat. The front cowling was damaged, but has actually been replaced. The flotation foam absorbed some water-- I drilled some holes through all-time lows of the sponsons 2 years back, and the foam was really wet; drilled once more this spring and things appear dried. The drill holes are now patched and smoothed over. Unused for the last three years, it's gotten unclean and the paint is peeling occasionally (nothing significant). I've swiped the motor and the majority of the hardware for other jobs, but most of the steering system is still there, and I still have the seat, though it isn't set up at this time. It had a crack in the bottom-- careless storage on my part paired with snow load-- however I've pathced that. I'm remaining to do some clean-up and reassembly. The further I get into it, the less flexible I'll be on price. This would make an exceptional GT Pro or Sport C racing boat for a driver 140 pounds. or lighter. Or, clamp on your 25-40 hp motor and shout down the lake. Hull only, with some hardware and a seat. No motor, no trailer.
