For sale is a 1978 Johnson 9.9 hp 2 stroke brief shaft engine does run however might use a little TLC. Once this year and it did run ok, I have had it out. This motor began the boat I purchased last month however I don't require it since I have another motor that I use. I was told it has a brand-new water pump and it does pump water effectively. I really have no idea much about it except that these are understand to be among the very best little outboards and nearly all the parts are pretty cheap and still offered from exactly what I have actually seen. It does shift fine and works in forward and reverse. I did change the lower unit oil and there were no indicators of water. I was also mentioned to that this motor was used in salt water a few times.
