Rare opportunity to purchase a fast cruiser from the renowned Danish builder X-Yachts. This X-442 was purchased in 2002 by the present owner and has sailed extensively around the UK and over to Scandinavia. This is the 3-cabin version with 2-double aft cabins and 'Owners ensuite cabin in bow. Teak interior, new upholstery in 2015, variety of sails and a well maintained Yanmar 51 hp inboard diesel. This yacht is in a 'Sailaway' condition but is priced to reflect some cosmetic issues that a future owner may wish to address. These include the fading of the blue hull, the potential re-caulking of some areas of the teak decking and possible replacement of the original standing rigging. Mechanical Vessel powered by an inboard Yanmar 4JH3E, 51hp diesel engine. Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and 3-bladed Gori folding propeller. Engine start panel mounted in birdpit in recess for protection. Engine has completed 2327 serviced hours. The owner has changed the oil and filters every year just prior to annual lift out. Engine situated beneath the companionway steps. These remove along with two further sections in the two aft cabins allowing all round access for servicing and daily checks. Bank of 5x12V batteries providing to the engine, the winches and the onboard systems. These are recharged via the engine alternator or the onboard battery charger when on shore power. Annual service by owner Gori Folding Propeller Shore power Battery charger Sails & Rigging Masthead sloop sail plan with keel stepped, 3-spreader mast by Sparcraft. Silver anodised aluminium boom with outhaul, 2-reefing points and rigid rod kicker with block and tackle. Stainless steel rod rigging including forestay, backstay and shrouds. Stainless wire babystay. Backstay has a NAVTEC hydraulic adjuster. Spinnaker rigging including mast track and upgraded carbon fibre pole.
