No more climbing over seats and hanging onto wobbly side deck rails!An aft tender garage houses a rigid jet powered Avon inflatable which is easily launched with a custom designed knuckle boom crane. The swim platform is wide and generous and is not disrupted when the door is open in the up position, also providing a shaded lounging area. Engine room access is not down a steep ladder or through a tight hatch, but rather through a 6 pneumatic hatch and down a shallow stairway. Once in the engine room there is 63 headroom and incredible access around all machinery. An emergency escape is through the tender garage. The engine room is befitting a much larger yacht and the engineering within is superb.The propulsion choices from the MTU 16V2000 M91 2000 hp engines was either conventional propellers which would not give the performance required, Arnesons which have relatively poor handling characteristics, menacing propellers and high maintenance, or water jets which were ultimately chosen as the best option for speed, noise, vibration, tracking and most importantly handling. Rolls Royce Kamewa A56 water jets were chosen with the proprietary VectorStick Control and the built in Interceptor trim tab on the Kamewa aids in tracking. A bow and stern thruster, and the joystick control system at the main helm or outside from the starboard deck or from the aft deck portside station make docking a breeze with no blind spots.The propulsion choice was proven correct with top speeds in excess of 35 knots, and easy cruising near 30 knots in almost any sea condition. The joystick control system and the water jets inherent ability to maintain precise slow speed control has proven itself over and over again in reliable maneuverability in all situations. This is extremely important for an owner handling the yacht himself, and the simplicity and precision for this system is remarkable.Other niceties include an electro-hydraulic Opramare swim ladder built underneath the swim platform which can also be operated by someone in the water; a key concern for an owner operator; a single sea chest reduces drag and makes maintenance easier and small cameras built into the hull under the rubrails and at the bow give shorthanded operators a perfect view when docking alongside or approaching a mooring buoy. Adjacent to each mooring cleat recess are lockers for the lines, and forward either side of the expansive foredeck sun pad are expansive storage lockers for fenders and lines.A forward seat on the foredeck hinges up with anchor windlass and chain locker
