Beneteau First 38 (40 LOA) has been idle for a while and needs some TLC. You could call it a project boat with great potential. The biggest issue is some cracking around the keel in the pan liner. It was not run aground, but it was trucked from San Francisco and this could have happened at this time and gone undiscovered. The keel bolts should also be replaced. The last time the engine (Perkins 50HP) was started (about a year ago) it started right up. It will need new running rigging and the standing rigging will need to be inspected. There are bags and bags of sail, including 3 or 4 spinnakers. The main will need to be replaced.Other than all those negatives, it is a beautiful boat. Was completely LPU painted back in 2002 or so, the interior vinyl was replaced around that time as well as all of the cushions re-upholstered.The reason I m offering it so inexpensively is the pan liner fiberglass work and keel bolt replacement could be a fairly costly repair.Link to more pics: https: tinyurl.com MyBeneteau
