I wire brushed the flaking paint off, it has a little piece broken off the upper fin, not near the housing(this is purely a cosmetic problem and won't impact performance at all)I drained the gear oil and it revealed no indications of moisture/water. The water pump impeller and housing are exceptional so you will not need to purchase one unless you simply desire too. Shifting and gears are very tight, no slop.
