Description:
Luna is a C&C 29' (Make I)built 1977.She has been kept in great condition by her two previous owners, a married couple who eventually had to give her up due to age. I took her in a couple of years ago with the intention of living aboard, navigating New England, and do a video-project with her. I'm very glad to have been ableto do all these things with her. She was exceptionally good to us, and we tried to be exceptionally good to her, fixing whatever needed fixing, cleaning and maintaining all the things she came with. The following is a description of what she is now, and the work that has been done so far:-Fiberglass hull, fin keel. Seacocks fully functional, new hoses in place for dock draining-Steering wheel on pedestal, withnew steering chain in place-Varnished wood outside and inside, as well as cabin floor.-Mast (currently stepped) with newboot. -Sails, rigging and lines in good condition and ready to sail.-Headstay has been replaced new, and a halyard restrainer has been installed on top of the mast to prevent any wrapping of the jib. Furler is installed and in working condition.-Lazy jacks have been bought and blocks have been installed high on the mast –only blocks on boom need to be installed.-Engine is Atomic 4 (gas),regularly serviced, has worked reliably all throughout.-There's a safety net around the safety line --my dog used to come aboard, but it's also good for children or to ensure things don't fall overboard.-Includes 5 fenders and an anchorball.-Safety equipment included, depthmeter in working conditions.-2 anchors aboard.-New bilge pump installed.-Hand-made Bimini top, replaced dodger (in place, although needs some work to fit in perfectly)-The table in the galley has been removed to maximize indoor space. -New exhaust pipe, recently installed.-Right now, seating cushions onstarboard side have been removed to maximize storage capabilities (as picture shows) but they can be easily reinstalled. -While this model comes with a little oven, i haven't been able to make it work. Instead, I have been using a portable stove (camping style) for all cooking needs, which of course you are welcome to keep.Also included:-New West Marine Rollup Dinghy (PRU-3 Inflatable - $1,199 value)-3HP Electricoutboard engine for dinghy (Newport NT300 - $1,099 value) with its originallithium battery and charger (Newport - $799 value)-A whole lot of goodies that makesailing easierSails:Main, Genoa x2, Spinnaker –all in good condition She has been hauled out at the end of the 2023 season, andis currently shrink wrapped at DiMeglio Marina in Brooklyn, New York. All sheneeds to go back in the water is de-winterizing and a hand of bottom paint.
