2002 Precision P-15 This Jim Taylor designed Precision 15 foot day sailer has been garage kept. The sailboat, trailer and motor have always been kept out of the water and garaged which accounts for their " like new" condition. This Sail boat also comes with a full set of new (unused and unopened) Sails -- a blue stripped Main Sail and solid blue Jib (see last stock photo for how it would lookl) I am also including new hayard spreaders, new main sail sheet, and a spare drain plug all of which cost about $1,100 from last year from Precision boatworks. A Tohautsu 3.5 hp motor that was run only a few times (5-6 hours total) and the original boat trailer complete the package. All lights on the trailer have been tested this year and are in working order. The Precision 15 has earned its high praise for a lively and rewarding performance. The quality is obvious and the simplicity of design is impressive. In addition to quality hardware the hull is composed of hand-laid solid fiberglass construction. This boat has an upgraded with a quick release Roller Furling Jib with Furling Gear and comes with a Sunbrella jib wind sock. The mahogany tiller has been beautifully restored with several coats of hand finished marine spar varnish. A compact collapsible weather proof aft boarding ladder has been attached at the Stern. The P-15 is designed to provide safety, stability, reliable handling, and speed under sail, she will shorthand beautifully under her large main alone; even better with her high aspect jib hoisted. And her centerboard with gives her the utmost hydrodynamic efficiency upwind. The Precision 15 features an unusually broad 7 foot beam, substantial freeboard to prevent swamping or capsizing. She provides a large forward storage area and her birdpit is safe and comfortable for both adults and children, with footwells with wide and deep seats.
