I'm offering my skippy that I simply invested the in 2012 completely rebuilding. The ONLY reason i'm selling her is due to the fact that we simply bought a 26 Fisherman Pilothouse. This is the difficult to find 24 Open, so no scrambling down ladders when the reels begin screaming. 6000 lb weight produces a great trip for this size watercraft. In the in 2012 I had a new 350 Vortec engine set up, (94 hours to this day), rebuilt Volvo 290A outdrive with tilt/trim. Completely replaced and reglassed stringers in bilge for a bullet-proof engine mount system. I have all photos of this rebuild. I bought the complete engine/electronics/steering package with all brand-new guages, brand-new fuse panel, hour meter, and had a full rewiring of the boat. 4 heavy responsibility batteries, 2 per side, with the very best battery switch available. This is overkill for this size watercraft but you will never ever have power problems out in the blue water or investing the night on the hook. I installed a brand brand-new aluminum 135 gal fuel tank with additional pick up to drain tank, new furniture by the guy himself, Jack Cole (creator of Skipjack) he made me the original fold out lounger specifically for the 24 Open. Stainless steel hardtop with rocket launchers, outriggers, canvas enclosure, anchor and windlass, all stainless railing in fantastic shape, New Pacific Edge 35 gal overseas bait tank, raw water clean down, manufacturing plant swimstep, porta-potti, brand-new carpet in V-berth (rests 2 in V, one on fold out seat) sturdy cooler mounted on deck w matching upholstered seat, excellent sounding stereo with water proof speakers and mount for phone or fore, ipod and aft automatic bilge pumps, heavy task trim tabs, great deals of brand-new upholstery trim, just refinished all teak end of March. Bumpers, dock lines, life vest, flares all excellent to go. New expertly applied bottom paint less than 1 month ago. You can even have my extra rods and reels that are in great shape and all set to utilize. This boat is established to fish TODAY with no issues. I believe I set it up right with everything you need for attacking Catalina, San Clemente, Coronados or avoid shore with the big boys no issue. I'm approximating an array of 200 to 235 miles. (should balance from 1.50 to 1.75 w the new engine) Its all set up for a 40 gal aux fuel tank in the bottom of the big fish hold leaving plenty of room for fish after sealing in the tank or 2 saddle tanks under the deck @ 20 gal each (was going to be my next task) Electronics: Furuno FCV-620 color sounder, Garmin GPSmap 162, Icom VHF IC-M302 radio, 12 volt outlet, gunnel lights, deck lights front and back, docking lights, all running lights in perfect working order. The trailer is prepared to pull to San Diego or up north anytime. Simply had the trailer axles totally serviced, brand-new rollers and brand-new front coupler in February. Bunks and tires are 1 years of age and fresh. My strategy was to get her repainted this winter, there is some minor cosmetic roadway rash by the previous owner. Take the individuals out deep on Thursday and the better half and kids out on Saturday, terrific harbor cruiser for the family. I've recovered over 30k purchased this watercraft and I've just ran her 94 hours. Do not miss this opportunity for a solid fishing machine that functions as a great household cruiser. Clean title in hand, this is a DMV transfer no Coast Guard problems to take care of.
