I have a 1964 hydroplane possibly a Glenn-L design. I bought it back in 1980. It needed the top deck refinished(painted blue and afterwards red). I began sanding and then it sat in my shop for 34 years. Last month I put the motor back on, cleaned the carbohydrate, and to it to the lake. It ran 38mph. The 1951 Mercury Super Hurricane 10HP( rated at 18hp)# 475939Q has the desired Q lower unit. It sits on a later model trailer. I will certainly likewise include a 1951-1952 Mercury KE-4 7.5 HP # 494343. It turns easily and has excellent compression. It does have a fracture on the upper tower. This is a piece of history. It has a clear Texas title for the boat and KG-7Q motor. The trailer has present registration. Kindly email with remarks and questions.
